Position: Case Manager- Open Custody/Open Detention Facility
We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Case Manager within the Open Custody Program. As a Case Manager you will be responsible for providing a broad range of services to youth sentenced to serve a period of custody and/or detention including working frontline within the Open Custody Facility.
Salary: $29.96-$31.85 based on experience
Benefits: Health and Dental Benefits after 3 months of employment, Pension Plan after 3 months of employment, Paid Vacation and Sick Days
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in the field of Social Work/Social Services Worker/Child and Youth Work/Onajigawin Indigenous Services and eligible for registration in your respective college or association.
- Must possess above average skills at engaging and developing therapeutic relationships with youth aged 12-17.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be adaptable, flexible and creative, consider unique qualities of each youth, operate from a strength based, client centered approach or model of care; must be sensitive to the social, linguistic and cultural diversity of the youth, their families and their community.
- Experience working with high risk, behavioural youth within a facility setting is an asset.
- Education /experience in delivering individual and group programming for youth.
- Education/Experience in case management including assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating Case Management Reintegration Plans and ability to work collaboratively with Community Partners.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of community resources.
- Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to effectively work within a team environment.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends. The position will generally be scheduled from Monday to Friday 7 am to 3 pm. However, there are weeks when the successful candidate may be required to work evenings 3pm-11pm.
- The ability to participate in the rotational on-call system offered after business hours including weekend, which may require the successful candidate to work when required to.
- Must obtain a current Canadian Police Information Check with vulnerable sector screening.
- Must have a valid class G driver’s license.
- Emergency First Aid Level A/CPR and AED training is required.

We are seeking qualified individuals for the position of Youth Worker (casual) within the Open Custody/Open Detention Program. As a Youth Worker you will be responsible for providing direct care and supervision of youth who are serving a period of custody/ detention.
Qualifications:
- post-secondary diploma in a Community and Social Service field.
- experience working in a youth residential setting an asset but not required
- Must possess above average skills at engaging and developing therapeutic relationships with youth ages 12-17.
- possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be adaptable, flexible and creative, consider unique qualities of each client, operate from a strength based, client centered approach or model of care; must be sensitive to the social, linguistic and cultural diversity of the youth, their families and their communities,
- Must be able to effectively work within a team environment
- knowledge of YCJA and CYFSA will be an asset
- Current criminal reference check – vulnerable Sector Screening (within 6 months) is required
- Must have a valid class G driver’s license, current First Aid/CPR certificate
- Must be available for shift work, days, evenings, midnights, and weekends.
Salary: starting hourly rate @ $26.52-$28.85 per hour based on experience
